Having a previous professional relationship with XLR8R magazine and its creative management (see 2K T-Shirts Editorial Spread), I was invited to speak to the editorial management to help further clarify their online presence and the ease of information delivery to end-users (both online and in print).

The first excercise was to map out the existing site architecture, then de-construct it and rebuild from the content is first perspective. I drafted a completely new site architecture, illustrating multiple content access points (ex. the public website, the intranet site, the editorial and ad management interface).

Our discussion also included XML data feeds usage and how to integrate Syndication technology into their existing Server and Publishing environment. This enabled the editorial and design staff to decide which articles/imagery would be archived and accessible to the site search engine and/or only available to the print audiences (or subscribers).
