Rome

It is a very nice time to visit Italy. Traffic is not so heavy at this time and the tourist are just starting to arrive. Remember when traveling in Italy it would be wise to have some kind of an itinerary to keep with you so you stay on track and get the most out of your vacation dollar.

You will need to do some research online to find the many bargains available. Check the internet for special packages and inclusive vacations. Sometimes these package deals are your best way to save a few dollars and still get what some pay much more for.

All good travelers should check travel documents before any trip. It can save a lot of time and perhaps some money if your passport and papers are all in order before your departure. When going to a foreign country for pleasure and sightseeing, it is recommended you have an itinerary with you to help you stay on track and get to the places you want to at the times you want to be there.

Italy is a country of beautiful places and thousands of years of history. It certainly won’t be easy to choose the places to visit. It will seem like you just don’t have the time to see everything. Some of the recommended places to visit, of course, are Rome, Florence and Venice, Naples and Turin, beautiful Amalfi and Genoa. These will take up most of your time and when you return to this beautiful country, you can visit some new towns and you will probably want to return to some of those you have visited this trip.

You most probably will fly to Rome which is the capital of Italy and once you are there you will feel like this is where the history of the world started. Be sure to take in all the sights like the Colosseum, Trevi fountain and the Vatican and Saint Peters. There are more but you don’t want to spend all of your time in Rome. There more cities to visit and you must be on your way.

Try stopping in the Tuscany area and visit the many wonderful museums and check out the fabulous buildings and be sure to visit Pisa and have your photo taken by the great Leaning Tower. Perhaps a stop in Venice will be your cup of tea. This is a city built on 117 small islands it is truly a pedestrian linked to the mainland by road and rail and the canals are the main way people get around here.

Island trips might be those to the Island of Capri or even to Sicily for day trips. The city of Turin would be magical, with the shroud to be viewed by those who have an interest in that special covering. Along the Amalfi coast you will be likely to find a string of colorful little towns, sitting atop cliffs and marching down to the sea. Walkways connect many of these towns, making it possible to visit several in a day of walking.

Everything you have seen may tuck away in you a desire to see more and more of this wonderful country of Europe. Traveling in Italy can be fun and adventurous, from inland cities and grape-filled countrysides down to the sea, on two sides. Coming back may be another trip in the future.
