Let your fingers do the SNAP-ing™

Get your search results in a more efficient and logical manner. I know I know, your saying how? Well, first off have you ever thought that maybe the google-esq multipage, multiclick manner is just a method of convenience? In some cases, your result that your searching for may be on the 5th or even 10th result page!!! Check out SNAP, they use a novel if not innovative refinement method by which they reduce results as you type refinements. In addition they have some pretty useful content that backs up the results on a variety of search terms/criteria. I may work for Idealab and the SNAP folks, but I have seen enough Search sites to know what is REALLY worth looking at and what is also worth using, SNAP hits both on the money.

Freitag Laptop Sleeves (for 15" Aluminum PB)

My good friends in the Zurich, Switzerland (Consulat de Helvetica for all you luddites) have done it again. Not only do they always impress me with the refinements and additions to their super Swiss site, but now, I can buy yet another piece of FREITAG schwag! I was hipped to these guys in late 1997 while on a business trip in BERNE Switzerland. I saw their bags at the local urban sportswear shop OLMO and immediately had to buy one (actually two!). I now own their wallet and the Lars Muller Publishers FREITAG Book [ISBN 3907078470]... and now shortly I will hopefully be the owner of their 15" Laptop Sleeve. Hey Markus and Dani, hook a brotha up! I am giving you props on my blog... hehe. You can check their site out FREITAG.

iPod Shuffle, Yes, I got one!

Well, I just have to say that Apple did it again. Another wickedly cool and virally dispersed product to hit the stores in late January. I happened to be at MacWorld and saw the unveiling at the Apple booth. As soon as the curtain came down, and I saw one... I bolted to the Apple Store on Market street and got one straight away. Apparently there was a limited supply, the next day when I went back to get another one, but they were already sold out. I have been messing with the Shuffle now since Wednesday and I love it. I am actually an multiple iPod owner (can we say MultiPod?)... I have the 4g Click Wheel, a Mini and now this Shuffle... So, for me its more about a cool looking USB flash drive, oh yeah, it plays MP3s as well! They did a great job on the Audio DSPs as well, I cant really tell there difference between a high bit rate track being played on my mini or the shuffle. In hindsight, I think I should have bought more and/or waited for the 1Gb, heck maybe I will just get a 1Gb one when they ship also!

No Supersizes, just Medium. Impossible!

While at MacWorld this past week, I had the pleasure of bumping in to Kevin Milden of Medium Footware and Impossible and chat about design, mac widgets and of course... shoes, not just any old shoes mind you but Medium Footware... These guys are the artistes of shoe design and development... I own a pair and my friend who introduced me owns a pair, and of course Kevin was wearing them... so you must too! I cant describe the quality and attention to details, from the stitching, to the raw leather trims, to the color details and palettes... They are VERY reasonably priced as well... Check them out if you really like shoes!
