_description
A good friend for many years Mike Goedecke (Founder and Exec Creative Director) of Belief, contacted me about doing a Flash redesign of his current online marketing materials. Mike knew that Flash was the hot technology at the time, and wanted to catch the eyes of perspective clientele looking for motion design companies.

I brought in Lucas Kuzma once again to develop a Flash site which had just enough motion to catch ones attention, but not seem too convoluted as many Flash sites ended up. We worked with the in-house designers at Belief and developed a workflow in which we were provided with final Flash SWF elements (Adobe AfterEffects exports SWF files) that we could then integrate in to the final site.

The core of the Belief website was a hybrid CMS that looked at the various folders and files, using XML for the text data and some elaborate ASP scripting, we were able to have the Flash site, its navigation and all contents (including QuickTime movies) dynamically updated as the folder/file hierarchy was changed on the server side. All of this data manipulation could occur using a simple FTP client and an HTML editor to change the XML references.

This version of the website is no longer live online.

You can view the v2 website online here: www.belief.com
