What Makes a Luxury Holiday?

The main focus of any luxury holiday is invariably the accommodation. A hotel is often judged by the facilities it provides which is usually a reliable evaluation. Facilities such as health club, spa, dining, internet, wi-fi are included. They make the stay more tolerable and where these facilities excel, more luxurious. Boutique hotels tend to cater for all of these facilities and more. They also tend to be individually styled which can provide a unique experience to the traveller.

Another difference in boutique and regular hotels is that they are no managed on the scale than chain hotels and don’t have as many rooms. This allows a boutique hotel to implement a more personal character with regards to its look. The Lan Kwai Fong hotel in Hong Kong, for example, blends a traditional Chinese look with modern dcor. This may seem small but can go a long way in creating a more luxurious feel.

Of course, you will probably want to step outside of the hotel every now and then and so where your hotel is located also has a role to play. The Bo Phut hotel in Thailand is a boutique hotel in a luxurious setting. The hotel itself lets in many such wonderful views which can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own private garden or jacuzzi.

Boutique hotels are usually synonymous with a resort but they can also be an isolated retreat. They are often included in tailor-made holidays or even honeymoons. Waking up on the beach the first

It is the unique character which makes a hotel luxurious or not, however, no matter where it is situated. If the accommodation is an important part of your visit then you need to be looking at boutique hotels as opposed to chain hotel with little or no character.
